Degree Programs
FACULTY
OF FISHERIES AND OCEAN SCIENCES
1️⃣BSc (General/Honors) in Fisheries and Marine Sciences
Students will be selected on the basis of rank order calculated using Z-Score and
Aptitude test mark. Students who perform exceptionally well in the three-year General
degree will be selected for the Honors degree.
Entry Requirements:
At least three (3) “S” passes obtained in one sitting at the GCE (A/L) 2025 examination,
within a maximum of three attempts, in the Biological Science stream.
2️⃣BSc (General/Honors)
in Oceanography
Students will be selected on the basis of rank order calculated
using Z-Score and Aptitude test mark. Students who perform exceptionally well
in the three-year General degree will be selected for the Honors degree.
Entry Requirements:
At least three (3) “S” passes obtained in one sitting at the GCE (A/L) 2025 examination,
within a maximum of three attempts, in the Physical or Biological Science stream
(Physics is must).
3️⃣BTech (General/Honors)
in Aquaculture & Seafood Technology
Students will be selected through an Aptitude test. Students who perform exceptionally
well in the three-year General degree will be selected for the Honors degree.
Entry Requirements:
NVQ level 5 or above in the relevant technology areas (Aquaculture/Seafood
Technology), or at least three (3) “S” passes obtained in one sitting at the
GCE (A/L) 2025 examination, within a maximum of three attempts, in the Bio-system
Technology or Biological Science stream.
4️⃣BSc (Honors)
in Marine Biotechnology
Students will be selected through an Aptitude test.
Entry Requirements:
At least three (3) “S” passes obtained in one sitting at the GCE (A/L) 2025 examination,
within a maximum of three attempts, in the Bio-system Technology or Biological
Science stream.
FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT
5️⃣BSc (Honors) in Marine Engineering
Students will be selected on the basis of rank order calculated using Z-Score and
Aptitude test marks. All students must submit a government-approved medical
certificate to complete the registration as a mandatory requirement.
Entry Requirements:
At least two (2) “C” passes and one (1) “S” pass (including Combined
Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics) obtained in the one sitting at GCE (A/L)
2025 examination, within a maximum of three attempts, in the Physical Science
stream.
6️⃣BSc (General/Honors)
in Marine Transportation Management and Logistics
Students will be selected through an Aptitude test.
Entry Requirements:
At least three (3) “S” passes obtained in one sitting at the GCE (A/L) 2025 examination,
within a maximum of three attempts, in any stream.
7️⃣BSc (General/Honors)
in Coastal and Marine Resources Management
Students will be selected through an Aptitude test. Students who perform
exceptionally well in the three-year General degree will be selected for the Honors
degree.
Entry Requirements:
At least three (3) “S” passes obtained in one sitting at the GCE (A/L) 2025 examination,
within a maximum of three attempts, in any stream.
8️⃣BSc (General/Honors)
in Marine Affairs
Students will be selected through an Aptitude test. Students who perform
exceptionally well in the three-year General degree will be selected for the Honors
degree.
Entry Requirements:
At least three (3) “S” passes obtained in one sitting at the GCE (A/L) 2025 examination,
within a maximum of three attempts, in any stream.
