1️⃣Director (HM 2-3) 01 Position
Qualifications:
Professional: A four (04)-year degree in Science or Agriculture with a class and a PhD Degree in a relevant discipline.
Experience:
a) At least 20 years of research at senior research/managerial level and management experience in a recognised organisation, of which 12 years should be after obtaining PhD degree and with a proven track record.
AND
b) A proven ability to lead and direct multi-disciplinary teams of research scientists. Experience in proper deployment and efficient management of human and other resources will be an added qualification.
2️⃣Deputy Director (Research & Technology Transfer) (HM 1-3) 01 Position
Qualifications:
A four-year degree in Science/Agriculture/Engineering with a class from a university recognized by the U.G.C.
WITH
A PhD Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
AND
At least 15 years of research and management experience in a recognized organization, of which 8 years should be after obtaining PhD degree and at senior research/managerial level with proven track record.
3️⃣Principal Research Officer (HM 1-3) 05 positions
(Subject area: Genetics and Plant Breeding. Agronomy and Crop Physiology, Soil and Plant Nutrition, Plant Protection, By-products Processing Technology, Farm Mechanization Technology, Agricultural Economics & Biometry)
Qualifications:
A four-year degree in Science/Agriculture/Engineering with a class from a university recognized by the U.G.C.
WITH
A PhD Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
AND
At least 15 years of research and management experience in a recognized organization, of which 5 years should be after obtaining PhD degree and at senior research/managerial level with proven track record.
4️⃣Principal Technology Transfer Officer (HM 1-3) 01 position
Qualifications:
A four-year degree in Agriculture with a class from a university recognized by the U.G.C.
WITH
A PhD Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university
AND
At least 15 years of extension and management experience in a recognized organization, of which 5 years should be after obtaining PhD degree and at senior research/managerial level with proven track record.
5️⃣Senior Technology Transfer Officer (AR 2) 01 Position
Qualifications:
A four-year special degree with a first or second class upper in Agriculture from a recognized University.
OR
A four-year special degree with a second class lower in Agriculture from a recognized University and a minimum of one-year postgraduate degree in Agricultural Extension.
OR
b) A degree in Agriculture from a recognized university and a two-year postgraduate research degree in Agricultural Extension.
AND
A PhD degree in Agricultural Extension and eight years experience in extension activities after obtaining first degree
Note: Publications relevant to Agricultural Extension will be an added qualification
6️⃣Administrative Officer (JM 1-2) 01 Position
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university WITH minimum of one (01) year post-qualifying experience in administration in a Government Department Corporation/Statutory Board or in a reputed Mercantile Establishment.
7️⃣Management Assistant (Accounts) -(ΜΑ 1-2) 06 Positions
Qualifications:
Three passes in G.C.E. (A/L) with a credit in Accountancy in one sitting.
AND
G.C.E. (O/L) in 6 subjects in one sitting with four credit passes including in Sinhala/Tamil/English and Mathematics
AND
Knowledge in computer applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheet and presentations
8️⃣Management Assistant (Clerical & Typing)- (ΜΑ 1-2) 03 Positions
G.C.E. (A/L) with three passes in one sitting
AND
G.C.E. (O/L) with six subjects in one sitting with four credit passes including in Sinhala/Tamil/English and Mathematics
