External Degree in Business Management - Eastern University, Sri Lanka 2026/2027
Programme
External Degree in Business Management, offered by the Centre for External Degrees and Extension Courses, Eastern University of Sri Lanka. Applications are now open for the 2024/25 academic year.
Eligibility Requirements
You must meet one of the following, plus the additional criteria:
1. Main qualification - any one of these:
- (a) Passed G.C.E. (A/L) in Commerce stream with university admission eligibility, OR
- (b) Passed G.C.E. (A/L) in any stream other than Commerce with university admission eligibility, OR
- (c) A relevant professional qualification, OR
- (d) Any other academic/professional/vocational qualification recognized by the Senate of Eastern University.
2. Additional requirements:
- (i) Must have sat for G.C.E. (A/L) in 2024 or earlier.
- (ii) Must have university admission eligibility:
1. At least an “S” grade in 3 approved subjects, in not more than 3 sittings, and all 3 subjects in one sitting.
2. At least 30% marks in the Common General Test at G.C.E. (A/L).
Selection
Preference is given to candidates under category (a) above. Final selection is based on G.C.E. (A/L) Z-score and total marks.

- Course Fee: 120,000 LKR total
Payable in 3 installments: 1st year - 60,000 LKR, 2nd year - 40,000 LKR, 3rd year - 20,000 LKR. Fees are non-refundable.
